The race follows the coastline of the spectacular Firth of Forth, starting at Meadowbank Stadium and finishing at the racecourse at Musselburgh – a grandstand finish. Unusually, the marathon organisers have launched a Gold Membership scheme which allows you (or your nominee) to run the marathon each year for life – you also get to choose your own race number.
